Abortion is legal in Canada. You do not need the permission of a parent or partner to have an abortion.
WHC offers aspiration and medication abortions. At Women’s Health Clinic, medication abortions are available for people who are up to nine weeks pregnant. Aspiration abortions are available for people who are up to 16 weeks pregnant.

If you are over 16 weeks pregnant, we offer referrals to other services. Health Sciences Centre provides aspiration abortions for people up to 19 weeks and six days pregnant. There is no cost to have an abortion at Women’s Health Clinic if you have a Manitoba Health Card or coverage from another province.

You will also meet with a counsellor during your appointment to ensure that you feel confident about your decision.
