This three-session webinar series will give you a taste of Fueling Freedom.
These webinars are designed to provide tools and guidance to parents, caregivers, and families. You do not need to attend every session—attend as many as you'd like.
Here’s what we’ll cover:
Session 1 – The Cultural Normalization of Disordered Eating
Tuesday, June 2, 12pm -1pm
In this session, we’ll break down the spectrum of disordered eating behaviours and why youth may lean on these behaviours. You’ll learn about diet culture, how culture affects our relationships with food, and some strategies to help support your loved one.
Session 2 - Supporting Eating for Well-being
Tuesday, June 9, 12pm -1pm
Together with a counsellor, you’ll explore how to support your youth in building a positive relationship with food. We’ll give you the tools to use an evidence-supported, weight-neutral approach and supportive nutrition strategies.
Session 3 - Food, Body, and Coping Skills
Tuesday, June 16, 12pm -1pm
This session will share the importance of self-compassion in recovery and prevention. WHC’s counsellor and dietitian will give you tools to help your youth develop supportive communication and coping skills. You’ll walk away from this session with strategies to help the youth in your life build a confident relationship with food, their body, and emotions.
