Samantha Brown (she/her) is the Senior Project Manager at Marymound, working to ensure culturally grounded care for Indigenous children and youth, and current Principal of Cedar Praxis Studio, where she leads governance advisory and Indigenous evaluation design across Manitoba. She is Anishinaabe, registered with Saugeen First Nation and the Chippewas of Nawash Unceded Territory, and has practiced as a Knowledge Keeper and ceremony facilitator since 2018, work she holds as inseparable from health care itself. For Samantha, reproductive justice is not adjacent to Indigenous knowledge; it is Indigenous knowledge, and she brings that lens directly into governance rooms.

She is the longest-serving Board Chair in End Homelessness Winnipeg's history, has stewarded over $20 million in federal funding, and led the organization through a full CEO succession. She also sits on the boards of the Jubilee Fund and the Elizabeth Fry Society of Manitoba, and developed the Starblanket Evaluation Tool, integrating the Seven Sacred Teachings with outcome measurement. Samantha carries lived experience of homelessness and over a decade of frontline work in crisis response and sexual exploitation prevention.
