Nadia Minkevich (they/them) is a queer, nonbinary, and disabled artist and activist. 

They have previously worked within the community health sector as a Medical and Agency Assistant and currently volunteer with Women’s Health Clinic as a Birth Control and Pregnancy Counsellor. They are in their final year of Women's and Gender Studies at the University of Winnipeg and are excited to continue ongoing education in a healthcare related field. Nadia is dedicated to fighting the systemic issues of oppression and discrimination that create barriers to accessing reproductive and sexual health services. 

Collective and community care is extremely important to Nadia, and they hope to use their position on the board to advocate for an equitable, accessible, and peer-led organization run by and for the communities of which they serve. They are excited to use their personal experiences to lend one perspective on potential accessibility barriers while continuing to critique and evolve their current paradigms throughout their time at WHC (and beyond)! In their down time, you can most likely find Nadia under a pile of blankets watching trashy reality TV or starting a new craft project. Nadia currently occupies the Volunteer Seat on the board for a two-year term beginning September, 2026.
