Faustine Muyenzi
Financial Counsellor | Credit Counselling Society
As a dedicated advocate for gender equity and reproductive justice, Faustine brings both - a professional expertise and lived experience as a Black Woman navigating systemic barriers to my role on the Board of the Women’s Health Clinic. With over a decade of front-line work in crisis intervention, financial counseling, and case management. Faustine has worked closely with survivors of gender-based violence, those in distress, and marginalised communities. She understands firsthand the intersections of health, poverty, and systemic inequity.
Faustine has worked as a front-line worker and volunteer and this has informed her commitment to dismantling systemic obstacles.
Having supported gender diverse folks through roles at various not for profit organisations and government agencies, she has witnessed how gaps in health care, financial stability, and cultural safety disproportionately impact First Nations, Newcomers to Canada and racialised people. This drives her passion for policy and practices that centers accessibility, dignity, and reproductive justice.
Rooted in her own journey, she champions inclusive solutions that amplify underrepresented voices while ensuring WHC's programs meet the nuanced needs of gender diverse people, especially those too often overlooked by systems they’re forced to navigate alone.
