Faustine Muyenzi

Board Co-Chair

As a dedicated advocate for gender equity and reproductive justice, Faustine brings to Women's Health Clinic, both professional expertise and lived experience for navigating systemic barriers.

Faustine has over a decade of front-line work in crisis intervention, financial counselling, and case management. She has worked closely with survivors of gender-based violence, those in distress, and marginalised communities. Faustine understands firsthand the intersections of health, poverty, and systemic inequity. Having supported gender diverse folks through roles at various not-for-profit organisations and government agencies, she has witnessed how gaps in health care, financial stability, and cultural safety disproportionately impact First Nations, Métis and Inuit people, newcomers to Canada, and racialised people. This drives her passion for policy and practices that center accessibility, dignity, and reproductive justice.

Through this role as WHC Board Co-Chair Faustine will champion inclusive solutions that amplify underrepresented voices while ensuring WHC's programs meet the nuanced needs of equity deserving groups, including gender diverse people and the many that are too often overlooked by systems they’re forced to navigate alone.
