Does your weight negatively affect how you see yourself? Do you find yourself thinking there are things you ‘deserve’ only when you reach a certain size? Would you like to stop fixating on your weight and live a truly healthy, fulfilling life right now?

There is so much more to your health than your weight. Weight neutrality is the idea that no matter their size, weight, or health status, everyone deserves dignity, respect, and access to competent healthcare.

Weight Neutrality is a free, online workshop for people of all genders, who are 16 and older, and are interested in examining their beliefs around weight and health. Together in a small group – with the guidance of registered dietician, you’ll:

  • explore everything that contributes to our concept and experience of health
  • investigate weight stigma and its origins
  • reflect on diet culture and its role in shaping your relationship with food and your body
  • learn about a weight neutral approach to health
  • explore research and evidence for adopting neutrality
  • get strategies to apply weight neutrality to your life
  • learn skills for self-advocating at the doctor’s office

This workshop takes place online. You will be sent a Teams link in the reminder email sent prior to the session – you can join from any computer, tablet, or smartphone.
