You’ve probably seen certain foods or supplements being sold as ‘good for gut health’. Okay, but what does ‘gut health’ mean? And, aside from digestion, why does our gut health even matter? What makes something ‘good’ for gut health? And why is everyone talking about getting more fibre?

Our gut health plays an important role in how we feel and how our body functions—from our digestion and immune health to our energy and emotional wellness.

Gut Health & Feeling Well: Understanding the Gut–Body Connection is a free, virtual workshop led by WHC’s registered dietitian.

Join us for this one-hour session where you will:

  • learn about the gut microbiome and its role in our health.
  • explore the connection between gut health and hormonal wellness.
  • find out more about dietary fibre, like the different kinds and daily intake targets.
  • decode the difference between probiotics and prebiotics.
  • discover the variety of fermented foods and their role in supporting gut health.
  • learn how to incorporate gut-friendly nutrients into everyday meals and snacks.
  • get practical strategies to gradually increase your fibre intake.
  • explore simple, realistic habits that can help you nurture your gut and overall health.

This workshop takes place online. You will be sent a Teams link 24 hours before the session. You can join from any computer, tablet, or smartphone.
