Having a baby – by birth or adoption – changes your life. Our Mothers Program offers a range of community-based services in Winnipeg to support mothers through these changes. For more information on our mothering support services, please call the Mothers Program assistant at 204-947-2422 ext. 113.

Healthy Families is a drop-in group for pregnant people and parents of children up to 2 years old. Come meet other families, share your ideas on pregnancy, parenting, and life with kids.

Continuing a pregnancy changes your body, habits and lifestyle. We will discuss life changes, strategies for comfort, wellness and managing stress, and finding resources for pregnancy, labour, birth and postpartum care.

Planning a Birth Workshop – early pregnancy
Planning to start a family? Or continuing a pregnancy? Curious about the Birth Centre?
Come and join us for a discussion and a tour to learn about midwifery care; birthing at the Birth Centre, home or hospital, as well as options for education and support. Your partner or support people are welcome to attend with you. Bus tokens are available to attend. There is no cost for this workshop.

Comfort Measures for Labour & Birth
These workshops are recommended for people who are more than 24 weeks/6 months pregnant. Support people are welcome to attend
We’ll learn about what happens during labour and birth. We’ll practice some comfort measures for coping with labour.

A Healthy Baby Community Support Program to connect pregnant people and parents of children under age 1 with health professionals and other parents to share information, support and resources. Topics include prenatal and postnatal nutrition and health, breastfeeding, parenting tips, and lifestyle choices.
Bus tokens, milk coupons (for pregnant people and up to 6 months postnatal), healthy snacks, and childcare for children under 12.
