Cramps and bleeding are normal after an abortion. It might be very light for the first three days an aspiration abortion and become heavier on the 4th or 5th day with clots (sometimes as large as a lemon), bleeding, and cramps. Bleeding can increase with physical activity. It is normal to have light bleeding or spotting up to 4 weeks after an aspiration abortion.
