Healthy Families is a drop-in group for pregnant people and parents of children up to 2 years old. Come meet other families, share your ideas on pregnancy, parenting, and life with kids.

Prenatal Workshop Series
Continuing a pregnancy changes your body, habits and lifestyle. We will discuss life changes, strategies for comfort, wellness and managing stress, and finding resources for pregnancy, labour, birth and postpartum care.

Making Space for Pregnancy
Wellness & Self-Care in Pregnancy
We will discuss how things change when we are pregnant. Recommended for people 12+ weeks/3+ months pregnant. Please dress in comfortable clothes for stretching activities (optional).
Series 2: Wellness and Emotions in Pregnancy
Ups & Downs
Managing Difficult Emotions
We will discuss wellness and mental health, and practice relaxation techniques. Recommended for people 12+ weeks/3+ months pregnant.
Series 3: Preparing for Birth
Comfort Measures for Labour and Birth
We will discuss preparing for labour and birth, and caring for yourself after birth. Recommended for people 24+ weeks/6+ months pregnant. We encourage partners or support people to attend with you.

A Healthy Baby Community Support Program to connect pregnant people and parents of
children under age 1 with health professionals and other parents to share information, support and resources. Topics include prenatal and postnatal nutrition and health, breastfeeding, parenting tips, and lifestyle choices.
Bus tokens, milk coupons (for pregnant women and up to 6 months postnatal), healthy snacks, and childcare for children under 12.

Trained Facilitators deliver Coping With Change workshops
Trained by WHC, facilitators from other organizations offer Coping with Change sessions within their organization or area of the city/province.
Coping with Change for Service Providers
We train service providers in other communities to become Coping with Change facilitators. We offer training sessions a few times each year or upon request from other organizations.
Coping with Change Facilitator Training
Whether a baby arrives by birth or adoption, all families benefit from support as they adjust to the many ways a baby changes their lives.
Coping with Change facilitator training is a 2-day professional development workshop that helps service providers understand the emotional adjustments and mental health challenges of new parents and builds the knowledge and skills they need to support the families in their communities.
